... we are very satisfied with the EMu software, and with the level of support that we receive from KE Software. We work very hard at building, editing and sharing our database, and are continually challenged to make the process more efficient and comprehensive.  We find that the folks at KE Software are as determined as we are to meet these challenges, and we feel privileged to have them our partner in this work.

KE Software is pleased to welcome MuCEM (Musée des civilisations de l'Europe et de la Méditerranée) to the community of EMu Users.

MuCEM is part of a history nearly 130 years old: that of the Musée d’ethnographie du Trocadéro, of the Musée de l’Homme and of the Musée national des arts et traditions populaires (MNATP) in Paris.

Twenty-first century museum of civilisation, MuCEM will be primarily focussed on the cultures of the Mediterranean, following a comparative and interdisciplinary perspective in which Europe and other continents bordering the Mediterranean will occupy an important place. It will offer a fresh perspective on the cultures of the Mediterranean. Its collections, comprising nearly one million works of art and objects, will be moved to Marseille.

EMu was chosen to manage the museum objects and iconography - prints, posters, drawings, paintings, postcards, photographs, sound and audiovisual documents, printed documents. The data from these different collections, currently managed in separate systems will be combined into one system, EMu, allowing a centralised search of all the collections and helping MuCEM disseminate the knowledge, skills, traditions, customs, etc. of the Europe and the Mediterranean.

EMu will be implemented for the inauguration of MuCEM in 2013, when Marseille will be European Capital of Culture.
