The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Egypt, is home to the most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities in the world. Established by the Egyptian government in 1835, the collection has been housed in several locations over the years. The present museum was built in 1900 in the neo-classical style by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon, and exhibits over 120,000 objects.

Qatar Museums Authority was created in December 2005 to combine the resources of all museums in the State of Qatar.
The Museum of Islamic Art is the pioneering project of QMA, it is an ideal of the islamic architecture, which is built on an island of its own on Doha Cornish, and contains a wide collection of unique Islamic artefacts, from three continents including countries across the Middle East and as far reaching as Spain and India, the Museum's artworks date from the 7th through to the 19th century.
QMA aims to promote the Museum of Islamic Art as an international landmark for creativity, cultural exchange and dialogue, preserving all aspects of islamic art for the education and enjoyment of people from all countries and cultures in a modern, inspirational setting.
